If you want to see how rich are you in 2023 just go to a film photography website and check the film prices. If you think you can burn that much money on a hobby, good for you. On the other hand I am devastated by the high prices specially since I LOVE USING FILMs. Quite a some time, I was search for a alternative, I shot expired film, but that is not an option anymore. Either its difficult to find or, they cost almost same as the normal counterpart. 

Then came the old digital cameras. They hype was real and I was not along in the expensive film unaffordable boat. Ricoh was on my radar thanks to Sean Tucker. So I was decided on GR1 mainly due to the price, and then the quality it promises over the old GR Digital versions.
